Let’s face it; being a parent is a tough job and computers and the internet has brought us a mixed blessing. It’s great that there is a way for kids to play games, find out information, do their homework, talk with their friends, and get caught up in X-rated websites and cartoon anime nudes............. Whoah, it actually does happen some of the time.
Shall we give one rousing cheer for progress? This is why its necessary to have software which provides blocking and monitoring. As parents, we are responsible for keeping our kids safe and the Internet is a dangerous place.

Kids do not always recognize the dangers at first and they don't ever tell their parents everything. Blocking sites and using filters is what Net Nanny does and this works really well for younger kids that are not surfing the net, but being protected from inappropriate pop ups and content. The smaller children just want access to their games and they are good to go.

If things are blocked for older kids, that makes them more curious, and all they have to do is go to a friend’s home, log on, and try to find out what was being blocked. Older children will be more attracted by the forbidden computer fruit.

You have always watched them so this is nothing new. This monitoring allows me to check up on my kids and keep them safe.

The upshot is this…Net Nanny and other blocking programs will work for kids up to about 9 or 10. This program does just what it says…it blocks out the inappropriate content. For older kids get the parental monitoring software and use it...in this case, it is better safe than sorry...
